Consultation

My first priority is to ensure that I take care of the natural lashes. A full consultation will be carried out at the first appointment to determine your requirements, such as length, curl, and thickness. Synthetic lashes are then carefully selected to match your requirements. A patch test is not required since the lash adhesive does not come into contact with the skin.

The application of eyelash extensions

The lash extension procedure is painless. You will be lying down with your eyes shut throughout the procedure (many clients fall asleep). Correct application of eyelash extensions requires one extension to be applied to one single natural lash. The extension is then glued approximately 1mm from the lash line. The eyelash extension sits on the natural lash and does not interfere with the natural eyelashes. When the natural lash reaches the end of its cycle it will be shed, taking the extension with it. A new natural lash will grow up in its place and a new extension can then be applied. This is why eyelash extensions can be worn on a continuous basis, adding new extensions to the new natural lashes as they grow through to replace the extensions lost due to natural shedding. I use one of the strongest adhesives on the market, thus ensuring your extensions last longer than most. The adhesive is black in colour, making the lashes appear darker and fuller.

Finding a good technician

Without a doubt, this treatment is expensive. If you are new to eyelash extensions, finding a good technician through trial & error will prove costly. The majority of people will shop around looking for the the most competitive price, but also as important is the quality of your extensions. You may find the treatment being offered at what appears to be a bargain, but it is unlikely they will be putting in as many lashes.  A good technician will apply approximately 70-100 extensions to each eye. The adhesive that is used is also a key factor - making the difference to whether your extensions last.

How long will it take to complete a full set of eyelash extensions?

On average it should take 1 and a half to 2 hours. Anything under this time will generally mean you're not getting many lashes which will lead to to a disappointing result.
